And for that, she works hard and grabs every opportunity that comes her way. However, she does come across situations, like the mentorship programme in her college, which are degrading and demeaning. The book talks about friendships, self-worth, and impossible beauty standards. It takes you along with Jade through her college experience.

  • I Am Malala (by Malala Yousafzai) – The world we live in today is not perfect. And we need brave voices to rise against all the wrong and injustice. I am Malala, is one of the bravest stories you will ever read. This is the story of the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Read this book to know of the bravery of a 15-year-old Pakistani girl, who had the courage to speak against the Taliban.

  • To Kill A Mockingbird (by Harper Lee) – To Kill A Mockingbird talks about a wide range of human emotions. The huge popularity of the book is proof of its relatability to people in different parts of the world. When you finish the book, a beautiful message will have made home in your heart—the message being how racism is wrong, and you must always be kind to other human beings.

  • The Help (by Kathryn Stockett) – This book unfolds what the life of a black maid looked like in the Mississippi during the 1960s.
